IES Kista Year 9 students had the opportunity to ask questions to one of the most senior politicians in the country when Foreign Affairs Minister Ann Linde visited the school.
Ann Linde, who was accompanined by local member of parliament Anders Österberg, gave a lecture to the students about Sweden's position in international politics. The talk was followed by a question and answer session when students asked questions, such as, "Is it easy to be a politician?" and "Does Sweden plan to become involved in Afghanistan, and how?". A few students also spoke directly to Ms Linde and Mr Österberg while they shared fika. The visit finished with the politicians having a tour of the school. Both politicians commented on our students' engagement and awareness of current social issues.
