Welcome back to school! We hope you have had a relaxing break under the current circumstances. As all of us come back to school it is just as important as before to follow guidelines and instructions to wash hands often, use hand sanitizer when you cannot wash your hands, keep your distance as much as you can and above all, stay at home when you have even the smallest symptoms of feeling ill.
We are very happy to have you all back and even though times are tough we should remember that the vaccinations have started and it is projected that by end of April most adults will have been vaccinated in Sweden, which means that life is slowly turning back to normal. The spring also brings the light and an explosion of green in April/May which is something to look forward to.
Finally, I would like to share the video we created for our students on their first day back, here it is!

A group of IES Kista students have won the Nordic CRAFT competition by creating a sustainable house in the shape of an orange.
The students, along with Textiles teacher Ms Saxena, worked with different countries in the Nordic region to participate in the CRAFT (creating really advanced future thinkers ) competition.
There were a total of 7 teams from Denmark, Sweden, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Our year six students, Cecilia, Hannah, Charlotte, Amina, Uzair, Dipto, Amir and Daniel, decided to make a house in the shape of an orange. The house had a solar panel, windmill, rain water tank with solar heater, community laundry area and community garden.
